Rhonda L. Downey, CA, CPA, MSM, CF President
Rhonda is a Chartered Accountant
and Certified Public Accountant
with over twenty years experience in finance, operations and mergers and
acquisitions. She holds a B.A. degree from the University of Toronto
(double Major in Commerce and Economics), and a business degree, Master
of Science in Management degree, from Purdue University in Indiana,
where she graduated near the top of her executive MBA class. She also
recently completed the Corporate Finance designation, a designation for
investment bankers/transaction advisors, granted jointly by the Canadian
and U.K./Ireland Chartered Accountant institutions. She has held
positions of increasing responsibility at KPMG Public Accounting firm,
in the treasury and financial planning department at Maclean Hunter
(acquired by Rogers) a major publications/cable company, and for nine
years Rhonda worked at a United Technologies (market cap of US$70
billion) subsidiary. Rhonda’s tenure at a subsidiary of United
Technologies, Otis Canada Inc., included positions in Sales, Financial
Management, Branch Operations Management and Mergers & Acquisitions
(M&A). Operationally, she was a Branch Manager with 30 unionized
employees in Toronto and grew the branch’s profit by over 20% in two
years. Rhonda was part of the M&A team, which included extensive
experience in the valuation of companies, due diligence and aiding
throughout the negotiation process, ultimately resulting in dozens of
acquisitions.
Rhonda is the President of Regelle Partners, a
boutique mergers and acquisition firm that she founded in 2004, using
her past buyer experience to help her clients sell their businesses for
maximum value. She takes tremendous pride in her work, providing the
professional level of service that is normally available to only public
companies. She feels the most rewarded when her clients are very happy
after the deal is closed and tell her, “We could have never done it
without you!”.
Frank Tralli, CA, CF - Associate
Frank
has over 20 years of business experience. Leadership roles have included
direct accountability for operations, finance, liquidity, assets,
information systems and human resources. Frank has held the
Vice-President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer roles in several
companies and industries including entertainment, manufacturing,
distribution, and network services. Frank worked at Ernst & Young from
1991 until 1995 where he obtained his Chartered Accountant designation
and became a Manager in the firm’s Corporate Recovery and Insolvency
Division. In 2010, Frank earned the Corporate Finance (CF) Specialist
Designation from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.An
avid runner, Frank has run numerous races including 10 marathons.
Annie Lu, B.Sc -
Analyst
Annie
has over eight years of providing analytical service in the technical
industry. She holds a Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto
(Double major in Computer Science and Commerce and a minor in
Economics). She has provided consultation service, assistance and
played a key role to the implementation of new software (at a privately
held advertising firm) which serves over 1000 clients across North
America. Most recently, Annie has worked at one of Canada’s leading
retail companies as an analyst/software developer where she maintained
and improved applications by evaluating business needs, analyzing
requirements and developing software systems. Annie acts as an Analyst
resource for Regelle Partners.
J. Gary Doody - Marketing
Manager
Gary has
over 27 years of sales and client professional services. He was employed
for over 15 years at Warner Bros. which included management of a
multimillion dollar sales department with clientele ranging from large
corporations to owner/operators across Canada. His entrepreneurial
nature led to the founding of his own successful company of 12 years.
Starting from ground zero to over a million dollar business in an
extremely aggressive marketplace, solidified his successful and
dedicated nature with the highest levels of excellence in service. His
sales, marketing and advertising expertise combined with his business
acumen has made him a formidable global sales force.
